Address to Maine Senate Republican Committee

With 17 Republicans and 18 Democrats now serving in the Maine State Senate, Republicans are down by only one vote. But, that one vote has made all the difference in the world.

By one vote the Senate majority raised taxes by $70 million. By one vote, they took away your chance to have more affordable private health insurance options in Maine. By one vote the prevented real tax reform to put more money back in your pocket. And by one vote they made sure that the constitutional officers they select can continue using their public office to endorse and campaign for their political cronies.

On November 4, 2008—Election Day—you will have an opportunity to cast your one vote for a candidate for State Senate. To cast your one vote for affordable energy solutions, lower taxes, more health insurance options, and a more accountable government, cast your one vote for your Senate Republican candidate.

2008 is a year of change. Make sure you cast your one vote for the right change to put Maine back on track, and offer relief and prosperity for you and your family. On Election Day, cast your vote for your Senate Republican candidate.
